Brod Tullarone sign
Lory Meagher was a famous sportsman in the 1920s and 1930s that played Ireland’s national sport of hurling. He played hurling with his local club Tullaroan and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team from 1924 until 1937. Meagher is widely regarded as one of the greatest hurlers in the history of the game. This 17th-century thatched mansion was his home, and it has been restored to its 19th-century state, giving an insight into family life at that time. Why not step back in time by attending an evening of storytelling and traditional Irish music including a delicious traditional Irish meal. This is an authentic evening of Irish entertainment as it was 100 years ago.
